My Story
- I have never believed in following one single path. My journey has always been about weaving together diverse experiences, industries, and cultures into something larger than the sum of its parts.
- I began my professional life in transport and logistics, where precision and reliability defined success. These early years taught me the importance of systems, efficiency, and accountability. They also planted the seed of my lifelong belief: that trust is the most valuable currency.
- From there, I spent almost two decades in the music industry, where I learned the art of storytelling and the power of shared experiences. Music connected me with people across borders, and it showed me how culture creates identity, memory, and belonging.
- In 2014, I entered the world of blockchain. At that time, it was uncharted territory, full of both promise and risk. I founded CCEDK, Denmark’s first bitcoin exchange, pioneering a new financial frontier. Shortly after, I launched the NanoCard, the world’s first instant crypto payment card, years ahead of giants like Coinbase and Xapo.
- In 2018, I introduced VPLedger, a blockchain built on the principle of being compliant by default. While others saw decentralization as freedom from rules, I saw it as an opportunity to build trust by embedding compliance into the foundation itself. I took it off the servers at the time as I needed the proper setup to allow its vision to be embedded with the proper initial stakeholders. This is partly the reason for creating this website, allowing the world to understand and grasp the unique offerings proposed!
Theoretical Foundation – Bridging Knowledge and Practice
While much of my life has been about entrepreneurship and hands-on leadership, I also chose to pursue formal academic education as part of my journey.
Through my bachelor’s-level studies in global marketing, branding, and digital design, I built a theoretical foundation that directly supports my IT and blockchain endeavors. This education equipped me with frameworks for understanding:
- How markets evolve globally (Uppsala model, Hofstede’s cultural dimensions).
- How digital design shapes perception (Kapferer’s Brand Identity Prism, CBBE).
- How strategy aligns with innovation (STP, AIDA, Golden Circle).
- How leadership theory informs real-world decision-making (Sinek, Covey, Greenleaf).
These tools allow me to approach blockchain and IT not just as technology, but as ecosystems that live within society and culture. It also means I can bridge theory and practice – translating academic insight into practical strategy for both startups and enterprises.
My education gave me the ability to step back, analyze, and contextualize. My career gave me the ability to act, build, and innovate. Together, they form a powerful synergy.
Hospitality and Culture
- But my life has never been only about technology. In 2023, I joined Strandhotellet Blokhus as restaurant manager, where I designed wine dinners, cultural events, and storytelling experiences that celebrated hospitality at its highest level.
- I believe wine and food are not just pleasures – they are stories. A glass of Burgundy carries centuries of history, terroir, and craftsmanship. A dinner shared among strangers can transform them into friends.
- This dual life – building blockchain systems by day, curating wine experiences by night – might seem unusual. But for me, it is natural. Both are about trust, connection, and community.
